I signed up for a trip to Silicon Valley. Was informed that I only need to write an essay and whether I get selected will be based on my essay.

Then came the news that there were too many people signing up for it and thus, an interview has to be conducted to select the final students.

Well, I didn't get through it, so I have to stay put in Singapore.

No reason was given, though I guess its because of my late submission of my essay, my sucky performance during interview. And sheer bad luck.
