sharpening by unsharpening

I had some fun with GIMP, which is a free alternative to the godly but expensive Photoshop. Used a photo which I really liked alot taken during last year's Wallaby.



Couldn't achieve much with a compact camera shot through a windscreen, so I used the Unsharp Mask in GIMP and dragged the various sliders around...



Haha. Its just for fun. I think I overdid it lol. Maybe should get down to some serious reading on image manipulation sometime.
