Our original plan was to go to Isles of Adventure on Day 3, following the advice of the Crowd Calendar, but a proposed plan to meet with a friend got us to change to visiting Animal Kingdom instead. Personally I think it was a good move.
It was the exact same route to the Animal Kingdom: two public buses to the Ticket and Transportation Center, followed by a free Disney shuttle that brought us to the entrance.

| It was supposed to be a 'neutral recommendation' for that day, but crowd levels were high . |

| First thing we did there; took the Wildlife Express Train that brought us to Planet Watch. |

| The Conservation Station explained animal conservation and Disney's contributions and efforts in it. |

| Nearby there was a Affection Section where tame animals were let loose around for us to touch. |
 |
| Adults and kids alike were getting their hands on them. |

| Our first ride of the day: Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition! |
 |
| Basically a ride in this vehicle which would bring us around looking at various animals. |
 |
| We took a Fast Pass for this ride earlier in the day, so we didn't have to wait long to enter this Wildlife Reserve. |

| There were the usual animals one would expect to find in a safari: elephants, giraffes, rhinos, antelopes, and lions etc. I spare readers the photo spam. |

| While walking around we ran into this person in a tree costume on stilts. |

| We had lunch at this open air eatery where ducks and geese roamed around freely. Some patrons fed them food like fries, which they happily accepted. |

| Inside this area of the park, there was this section where there were rides to take, mostly for kids. |

| The only ride we took here: Primeval Whirl. It was a little roller coaster that rotated on its own axis as well. |

| Next destination was the most exciting ride in this entire park: Expedition Everest! |

| It was a high speed roller coaster that came with surprises midway, like coming to complete stops, running in reverse direction, and changing to different tracks! |

| Finale of the day: Festival of the Lion King! Unlike the other parks that had fireworks and light shows to end the day, Animal Kingdom had its own way of saying goodbye to visitors. |

| ...when out of the blue huge floats started coming in! |

| All in all, there were four floats. This float was the one that represented the Lion King. |
 |
| Besides singing and dancing there were also acrobatic and fire performances. Very impressive. |

Like the Hollywood Studios, I found the Animal Kingdom to be more towards the less side of fun; while the Hollywood Studios was more of shows than rides, the Animal Kingdom was more of education on animals and animal conservation, which thus appealed more towards families with kids and less towards thrill seekers. However the Animal Kingdom was still overall a nice place to go to, and I enjoyed myself!
